Georgia Hitch has been part of Applause Theatre School since 2007, when she starred as Sharpay in their production of 'High School Musical'. Since then she has gone on to become part of the teaching group and has recently assisted the choreography team with their production of Billy Elliot.

 

Georgia has been dancing since the age of two and has studied many different genres such as ballet, tap, modern, jazz and classical Greek, achieving excellent grades across the range of dance styles. She has competed in competitions across the country winning various awards.

 

Georgia has danced at 'The Victoria Theatre' Halifax in many of their pantomines with Hammond productions. She has also starred in Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat at Leeds Grand Theatre and the Alhambra Theatre, as part of the children's choir.

 

During her time at Whitcliffe Mount Business College, she took part in many school productions, taught dance to year 9 students, and organised and compared the school dance show involving over 15 feeder schools. Georgia was chosen as one of only two young ambassadors for the London 2012 Olympic games and has met many Olympic heros along the way.


She is currently studying her A levels in English Language, Media Studies and Performance Studies at Huddersfield New College and is hoping to have a career in performing arts.
