Anthony Martin MUSICAL DIRECTOR
This year Anthony celebrates 11 years as a Musical Director and last year celebrated by receiving his NODA 10 year service medal for his services to the Bradford Players and musical theatre. He has been involved in over 50 musical production with many West Yorkshire theatre groups including Cleckheaton & Spenborough AOS, Idle & Thackley AODS, Brighouse Theatre group, Theatre Train, Applause and The Bradford Youth Players. Anthonys' passion for musical theatre has led him to musically direct many productions including The Boyfriend, Happy as a Sandbag, Back to the 80’s, High School Musical, Slice of Saturday Night, Rock Nativity, 42nd Street, Oklahoma, The King & I, South Pacific, Boogie Nights, Mack and Mabel & Billy Elliot. Anthony is very lucky to have musically directed in some of the areas most prestigious theatres including the Bradford Alhambra and St Georges Hall. Anthony is an accomplished pianist and has led many youth vocal singing workshops for NODA at Guiesley theatre, specialising in musical theatre.
In 2005 following a successful audition and interview Anthony was awarded a scholarship at Loughborough University on the Musical Directors course to study the Jerry Herman show Mack and Mabel, under the renowned MD Rob Parish.
Anthony has also worked professionally including a run on Bill Kenwrights 2009 production of Evita and can also be seen on Emmerdale as a supporting actor as a walker, delivery driver or sometimes coming out of the Woolpack!
